Tisserin and Carver Haggard are proud to have supported a team of 8 talented young people from We Rise Brixton who were shortlisted for the Brixton London Festival of Architecture competition.
The competition, called “Young People at the Centre of Brixton”was organised by the LFA in partnership with Lambeth Council and Brixton Business Improvement District
The team came up with ideas and designs for a trail of markers for traffic-free routes and to showcase how creative the young residents are, and presented them to a panel of professionals from business, design and heritage backgrounds.
The young team gained valuable insights into how to respond to a brief through teamwork and site visits, creating scale models, how to express their ideas and deliver a great presentation, giving them real life examples of skills that they can use in their future career paths.
The LFA said:
‘The panel were extremely impressed with all the quality of the submissions and thoroughly enjoyed hearing your presentation. Getting the concepts to the design stage at such a high level was incredibly impressive, particularly given the short time you had to do so.’
